stupid car
director:
Jonny McIntyre
[[in a car. black and white. the camera is looking in from hood perspective. a young couple (maybe mid-20s) are sitting quietly watching the road in front of them. you can't hear anything that happens (except the music of course)]]
I'm finding it hard
to drive your stupid car.
[[the girl (not the driver) begins to say something. She is wearing gray colours (even without the black and white film) The guy (the driver) responds, shaking his head. they're both silent for a minute]]
I'm finding it hard
cause I never get that far
And you put my brain in overload
[[the girl asks a question. The guy shruggs and continues driving]]
and I can't change gears
[[he faces her and says something with a questioning look on his face. she appears to blush]]
you've got concrete eyes
[[he's says something like he's astonished. The girl wrinkles her nose and stars explaining. The guy continues to gape at her, not watching the road]]
cause you crushed me with your hands
[[cut from the car and to a sidewalk. Thom, Phil, and Ed are walking. Thom is going backwards so he can face the other two.]]
[[back in the car (still from the hood perspective. The couple is talking louder at each other, neither of them can get a word in edgewise over the other. every second they begin to argue worse. Finally, they both become silent as they wait at a stop light. Thom begins to cross in front of the car, still facing Phil and Ed. The camera is now from behind the couple, as if it were in the back seat. You can see Thom as he is standing directly in front of the car. The driver is staring at the girl. He then pushes the gas without looking in front of him. They crash into Thom, sending him over the roof of the car. The driver jumps out of the car, the girl is holding onto the dashboard. Ed and Phil are still unmoving at the corner, both rolling their eyes as if to say, "Oh god not again." The driver is now behind the car, looking for Thom. He isn't there. The guy turns around to ask Phil and Ed what happened. They aren't there. The music ends]]
